What’s New for 2010?
Three new sports specialty camps: Football, Wrestling, and Cheerleading camps will be offered. Each of these camps will be led by instructors who have collegiate level experience, either as an athlete or coach, in their respective sports. Skills to be taught include: 
Football— Rules of the game and basic fundamentals will be taught. Players of all skill levels will be drilled in position specific techniques. No special equipment is required.

Wrestling – An introduction to the sport of wrestling and its many benefits including increase in strength, flexibility and endurance (Note: The camp’s wrestling coach will be available for continued group lessons after camp has ended, through MVP Training Center)
Cheerl eading – Fundamentals of cheerleading including instruction in stunts, cheers, chants, and dance, as well as conditioning. (Note: gymnastics will not be taught.)
New and Improved Recreation Venues: Target archery, 2 additional Zipline runs, the Giant Swing, and an 8,000 sq. ft. indoor sports training facility providing ample gym space for rainy day activity, specialty sports training, skits, and group recreation such as dodge ball.

Overnight Camp Option on Thursdays: Campers may opt to spend the night at camp on Thursday evenings during the regularly scheduled weeklong camp sessions in June and July. For an additional fee of $23, sleepover campers will participate in additional recreation and specialized entertainment, as well as have a campfire dinner and continental breakfast prior to their final, half-day of camp on Friday. Campers will be well-supervised by staff and will sleep either indoors in the MVP Training Center, or outdoors in tents. |
